Just a quick post to tell you that Stephen Guy, over at the National Museums Liverpool blog has posted an entry about the Liverpool Pilots and their vessels - don't forget that two of the pilots, Tony Brand and John Curry are shortly to appear as part of the Mersey People project in our forthcoming book, Mersey: River that changed the world.
Enjoy!
In the 1950's I studied with Quarry Bank School the creation of a self-dredging channel made out of Liverpool Bomb rubble and sunken ships in the Mersey. My Mother threw away my study book whilst I was doing National service. I want to find out about the scheme - but can find no data. Can anyone help me?

If you search that info in wikipedia files you probably will find the data easily, trust me.

In the 1950's I advised with Quarry Bank School the conception of a self-dredging approach fabricated out of Liverpool Bomb bits and alveolate ships in the Mersey.
